Responsibilities
- Support the full month-end close cycle, covering trial balances, adjustments, and final postings.
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and other key accounts each month.
- Complete income statement and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, for month-end and year-end close.
- Apply incoming customer payments and research and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare checks for remote bank deposit.
- Follow up with customers on the status of past due balances.
- Produce and distribute weekly accounts receivable reports to management.
- Assist with sales and use tax returns and prepare personal property tax filings.
- Track vendor Certificates of Insurance and review exceptions to coverage limits.
- Handle additional accounting duties as needed.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software.
- Associate's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
