Responsibilities
- Manage capital engineering projects from initiation through completion, supporting base projects at existing facilities and large-scale initiatives involving renewable energy and infrastructure upgrades.
- Lead full lifecycle project management including scope development, execution, and closeout.
- Validate project justification and incorporate stakeholder requirements into scope.
- Manage project budget, schedule, quality, and safety performance.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including hiring engineering consultants, contractors, and ordering materials/equipment.
- Oversee project execution and conduct periodic field visits to monitor progress.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements for vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Review and support design documentation and engineering drawings.
- Conduct vendor/shop inspections and witness equipment testing as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, environmental, sourcing, project controls, and engineering teams.
- Facilitate project closeout and transition to operations teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related disciplines).
- 5–7+ years of engineering experience, preferred for Level II roles.
- Minimum 2+ years of project management experience.
- Experience in utility, energy, or oil & gas industries preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP (preferred).
- Required Skills: On-Site work environment, ability to manage multiple projects, strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Preferred Certifications: Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Fundamentals of Engineering (FE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE).
