Job Title: Welding Assistant
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Responsibilities
- Support aluminum car body manufacturing operations by assisting Welder-Fitters in preparing, finishing, and handling aluminum components.
- Grind, clean, and prepare weld seams, including post-weld corrections to ensure quality standards.
- Prepare and stage parts for welding, supporting efficient workflow on the shop floor.
- Assist with shop orders and general workflow, taking over standard tasks that do not require certified welding skills.
- Support welders on the car body assembly lines and perform metalworking tasks such as measuring, part alignment, reading technical drawings, grinding, and identifying fabrication defects.

- Basic experience supporting MIG and TIG welding in aluminum fabrication
- Hands-on knowledge of metal preparation and finishing processes
- Reliable and hardworking, with a strong willingness to learn and improve technical skills
- Physically able to lift and handle aluminum components and work standing for long periods
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments, especially with aluminum
- Team-oriented, with proven ability to collaborate in a diverse, international production team
