Responsibilities
- Use knowledge of business processes and systems to define business requirements and functional specifications.
- Manage scope changes and issue resolution throughout project lifecycle.
- Coordinate implementation activities and contribute to process quality improvement initiatives.
- Work in a Scrum team, collaborating closely with business owners to analyze processes.
- Elicit requirements via interviews, document analysis, process descriptions, job aids, and workflow analysis.
- Review project initiation documents for completeness and feasibility; seek further clarification as needed.
- Maintain project artifacts including approvals, user stories, requirements, process maps, and reference guides.
- Participate in all project phases to ensure requirements are well-understood and executed.
- Serve as a contact point for functional areas; assist with implementation activities alongside Scrum Master, project, or release managers.
- Create and maintain stories for development teams using agile methodologies.
- Lead or participate in multiple projects; proactively suggest process improvements to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Conduct system overviews or training classes as necessary.
- Mentor Business Analysts to develop team skills and environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of IT Business Analyst experience.
- Experience with IT fundamentals such as database, process, and data flow analysis.
- Knowledge of data structures and data access methods, including SQL.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret customer needs and translate into operational requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or comparable experience.
- Will work in the office three days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and reside in the greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area.
- Proven ability to be flexible, motivated, and work independently or in a team environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Effective communication with diverse technical and non-technical individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with financial services or transportation/leasing industry preferred.
- Project Management experience.
