Responsibilities
- Support customers through service inquiries or problems related to FHA mortgage guidelines and procedures.
- Use mortgage industry knowledge to locate answers in a knowledge database and respond to client requests.
- Follow standard operating procedures for various topics, systems, and contact channels.
- Document all contacts and interactions in the appropriate database.
- Keep current with FHA mortgage processes and procedures to provide accurate information.
- Communicate effectively via phone and email, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Navigate multiple computer systems and utilize search tools efficiently.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer).
- At least 1 year of contact center experience or telephone customer service experience.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation.
- Excellent time management, dependability, and strong communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Keyboard proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
- Knowledge of FHA mortgage policies is a plus.
