Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy
- Wash glassware used by the laboratory to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Accurately enter sample data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Produce laboratory reagents and stocks as needed
- Process cannabis samples, including flowers, concentrates, extracts, and infusion products
- Conduct cannabis sample extraction and dilutions according to proper protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field
- Must be able to pass the Cannabis Regulatory Commission background check for Laboratory Agent registration
- Basic lab skills including understanding and following safety standards
- Ability to wear gloves, lab coat, eye protection, sleeves, hearing protection, pesticide suit, plastic booties, dust masks, respirator, and face mask
- Willingness to learn and perform repetitive tasks
- Willing to learn proper protocol for driving to pick up samples from other labs in NJ as needed
- Previous laboratory testing of cannabis is a plus
- Must have a clean driving record; able to drive 1.5 hours when required
