Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive and log incoming samples, verifying documentation and labeling accuracy.
- Prepare samples for analysis following SOPs and safety protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as moisture content and water activity.
- Conduct routine data entry and basic calculations for non-complex analyses.
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody and sample tracking records. A
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and other laboratory materials as needed.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory inventory and restocking supplies.
- Clean and maintain laboratory workspaces, glassware, and equipment.
- Support analysts with non-technical tasks to facilitate laboratory workflow.
- Follow all applicable state regulations and laboratory SOPs.
- Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory and quality system requirements.
- Adhere to safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
- Must be 21 or older with a legal NJ driver’s license in good standings
- Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.
- Cannabis industry or regulated industry experience is a plus.
- Must meet the minimum legal age requirement to work with cannabis in the state of operation.
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive task
