Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across multiple entities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes through data gathering and analysis
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
- Assist with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for the annual audit
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives within the accounting team
- Follow established internal controls and accounting procedures
- Work collaboratively with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting questions
- Help maintain organized accounting records and documentation
- Participate in process improvements and system enhancements as the department grows
- Provide support to the Corporate Controller and accounting team as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting concepts
- Strong Excel and general computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with ERP systems (Yardi experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
