Hours: 2PM - 10PM Monday - Friday; occasional weekends
Technologist Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments
- Lead teams through projects to identify and resolve safety risks
- Maintain skills on multiple unit operations/systems; demonstrate mastery on some systems and ability to teach others
- Lead equipment sanitation activities and inspect sanitation processes
- Focus on maintenance, electrical, and controls with a technical emphasis
- Lift and manipulate ingredients or equipment up to 55 lbs.
Technologist Requirements
- At least 1 year of food sanitation experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- Ability to lift consistently & repeatedly, manipulate & transport ingredients or equipment, up to 55 lbs.
- Comfortable in processing (pilot plant or plant) environment
- Confidence in autonomously operating equipment
- Ability to assess and solve technical/mechanical problems
- Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other computer programs)
- Strong understanding of food safety and human safety
- Experience of working in teams to deliver results
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to coach, train & develop others
- Translate technical expertise to business impact
- Strong communication skills with peers and with customers
