Overview
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and update 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Assist in mechanical design activities including part design, assembly modeling, and basic engineering calculations
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and supporting documentation
- Vault, manage, and maintain drawings and models within a Product Data Management system (e.g., PDM, Vault, or similar)
- Support engineering reviews, design changes, and configuration control processes
- Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and project alignment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, design practices, and documentation workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Experience with AutoCAD 2020 or newer
- Experience with SolidWorks 2020 or newer, including part modeling and drafting
- Familiarity with product data management systems (such as SolidWorks PDM, Autodesk Vault, or similar)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
