Entry Level Accounts Payable Clerk Job Duties:
- Enter and process vendor invoices in the accounting system
- Verify invoice details, including quantities, prices, and payment terms
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and check payments
- Maintain organized records of invoices and payment documentation
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedure
- High school diploma or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (training provided)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
