Overview:
System One is seeking an Electrical Designer for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. Must be local to the Richland, WA area.
Tasks:
- Performs layout and design work from the data supplied utilizing theoretical and practical engineering knowledge.
- Ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Consults with engineering staff and technicians to ensure compliance with design specifications and have a working understanding of the engineering design process.
- Applies advanced techniques in CAD and standard design applications utilizing this equipment.
Experience:
- Significant experience with complete electrical design of control systems and production automation design.
- Proficient in the creation of AutoCAD drawings, utilizing industry best CAD practices
- Collaborate with Engineering to evaluate electrical systems toward applicable electrical standards, National Standards (NEC), and maintenance best practices
- Provide field support, including as-build drawings of new installations and integration into existing systems
- CAD administrator experience - implementation of new CAD tools, development and modification of templates.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of CAD workstations for creating 2D and 3D drawings.
- Knowledge of drafting.
- Ability to interpret and apply design criteria and technical documentation.
- Ability to ensure accuracy in drawings in compliance with standards.
- Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly.
- Exposure to use CAD modeling and computer programming skills.
