Work Environment: Onsite initially, with potential for hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 remote) after training

Position Overview
Growing Engineering, Industrial Services, Construction company is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to lead consolidation and financial reporting efforts across the enterprise. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements while supporting multiple business units within the organization.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the consolidation of financial statements for the parent company
Prepare and review financial statement footnotes in compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting processes
Oversee core accounting functions, including:
- Journal entries and trial balance management
- Account reconciliations
- Fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid accounts
- Bank reconciliations
Partner with operational leaders to ensure accurate financial representation of business activities
Support external audits, including preparation of PBC (Prepared by Client) documentation
Assist with special projects, including accounting research, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives
Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership
Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Active CPA required
5+ years of financial accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and financial systems
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
Experience with consolidations and multi-entity environments
