Responsibilities
- Review requests for quotations/ proposals (RFQs/RFPs) to generate quotations and formal proposals.
- Enter orders upon receipt and ensure requirements match the proposal/quotation.
- Communicate with customers regarding orders, returns, products, shipment information, etc.
- Initiate and follow up on appropriate actions based on customer needs.
- Process RFQs and purchase orders (POs).
- Communicate with suppliers on customer issues, delivery instructions, priority changes, expediting orders, and special requirements.
- Generate analytical reports to track demands and orders.
- Perform sourcing for required parts as needed.
- Review drawings and schematics for select parts/equipment.
- Understand regulatory requirements for procurement tasks.
- Obtain final procurement approvals following required procedures.
- Understand the technical requirements of purchase orders or contracts to ensure documentation is complete.
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field preferred; 1-3 years of experience in the Nuclear industry preferred.
- Experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
- Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, diplomatic and direct style.
- Strong accountability and results-orientation.
- High energy, quick reaction to situations, and decisiveness.
- High integrity and professional presence.
