Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for equipment foundations, support steel, buildings, and industrial structures
- Lead and review structural and civil design deliverables to ensure technical quality and alignment with project and client requirements
- Provide design leadership and coordination across drafting resources and other engineering disciplines
- Support and, when appropriate, lead project management activities including schedules, budgets, and direct client communication
- Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction support activities as required
- Contribute to CET’s internal engineering standards, quality assurance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil/Structural Engineering in the State of Alabama
- 8-10 years of experience designing industrial plants and facilities
- Experience with industrial facilities and heavy equipment support structures; experience in the steel or aluminum industries is a strong plus
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, STAAD, or similar platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a small, technically focused consulting environment
