About the Job:
We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic /Technician to help keep our production equipment running safely and efficiently. Our facility manufactures and personalizes secure financial products, including credit and debit cards, using automated production, printing, inserting, and card-processing equipment.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting equipment problems, performing repairs, completing preventative maintenance, and supporting day-to-day production operations.

Maintenance Mechanic /Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on automated production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and sensor-related issues.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and production stoppages.
- Repair or replace motors, belts, bearings, chains, rollers, sensors, switches, and other machine components.
- Make machine adjustments, setups, and equipment changeovers as needed.
- Read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents to assist with repairs.
- Maintain equipment used for card personalization, printing, inserting, mailing, conveying, and automated material handling.
- Help install, test, and improve production equipment.
- Complete maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
- Maintain spare parts, tools, and an organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements.
- Follow all facility security and confidentiality requirements due to the sensitive nature of our products.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Maintenance Mechanic /Technician Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical components, motors, sensors, switches, and basic machine controls.
- Experience with pneumatic systems and automated equipment.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on industrial machinery.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attendance, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with any of the following is a plus but not a deal breaker:
- Printing or mailing equipment
- Packaging or converting equipment
- Automated production machinery
- Conveyors and material handling systems
- Commercial printing operations
- Card personalization or secure document production
- PLC troubleshooting
- Military or technical maintenance backgrounds
Additional Information:
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already has hands-on maintenance experience and can troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.
You do not need experience with card manufacturing equipment specifically. Training will be provided on our specialized machinery. Candidates from manufacturing, printing, packaging, mailing, industrial maintenance, and other automated production environments are encouraged to apply.
