About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Overhead Transmission Engineer to support the design and development of overhead transmission systems for power delivery projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and complex projects—ranging from new infrastructure builds to system upgrades—while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient solutions for clients.
As an Overhead Transmission Engineer, you will play a critical role in project execution, from early design concepts through technical analysis, implementation, and field assignments. You’ll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to advancing energy infrastructure across multiple applications, including renewable integration, AC/DC conversion, and smart grid technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the design, analysis, and development of overhead transmission line projects.

Provide technical expertise to address design challenges, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Monitor project progress, performance, and budgets while minimizing delays through proactive problem-solving.

Prepare engineering documents, calculations, and drawings, while ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.

Conduct field work as required to support design verification and construction.

Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in power transmission and infrastructure design.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required).

Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).

Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in transmission line or utility projects.

Strong proficiency with PLS-Suite and Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with engineering and modeling software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, BlueBeam, FAD, or LPile (preferred).

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.

Team-oriented mindset with a desire to collaborate and support senior engineers.

Active participation in professional engineering societies (preferred).
Salary Range: $82,000 – $92,500 (commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).
