We are currently seeking a Project Controls Specialist for a 2–3 month temporary contract to support engineering and construction projects during a medical leave backfill.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with project controls, cost control, or procurement experience who is available for a short-term assignment and can quickly integrate into a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support cost control and schedule functions for engineering and construction projects
- Monitor and report project costs on a weekly basis
- Develop and maintain project progress, financial, and earned value reporting
- Participate in project, supplier, and contractor meetings
- Review, track, and process invoices, receipts, and progress payments
- Implement and administer change control related to scope, budget, and schedule
- Coordinate verification of equipment and material deliveries
- Review third-party inspection reports and ensure compliance
- Audit and close out project commitments throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with invoice processing and goods receipt compliance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of project-related experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience supporting engineering, construction, or operations teams
- Oil & gas industry experience a plus
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, dependable, and able to work under pressure
- Pay Rate: $30.00-38.00/hour
- Schedule: 40 hours/week (some overtime during training, month-end close, or forecasting)
- Hybrid Schedule: Remote work may be available on Wednesdays and Fridays after training
- Dress Code: Business casual (jeans permitted)
