Senior Accountant
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing advanced accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, supports cost accounting and production-related financial processes, and partners with leadership on financial strategy. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining compliance with industry standards, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely financial records in accordance with GAAP and manufacturing standards.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Support cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation and variance analysis.

Assist with ERP-based inventory management and support operations with inventory-related inquiries.

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; prepare and file required tax returns.

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and assist with audit processes.

Partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to provide financial insights that support production planning and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications

Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Proficiency with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.

Advanced Excel and financial data analysis skills.

Ability to prepare, interpret, and present complex financial information to senior leadership.

Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing financial processes.
Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment REQUIRED preferably within aerospace
