4, 10 hour days (Monday - Thursday) with some 10 day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide field oversight for monitoring well installation programs, foundation investigations, contamination assessments, geologic site characterizations, or related projects.
- Perform soil and rock logging; prepare professional logs for soil, rock, and monitoring well construction data.
- Install water monitoring and water quality equipment and manage data output.
- Manage drilling and related contractors in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
- Interface with various customers and collaborate with Geologist and Land Group peers to facilitate field investigations.
- Travel extensively, primarily throughout the southeastern United States, including Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Geology preferred; Geological Engineering accepted
- Experience in executing field investigations using various drilling methods and resources
- Proficient in soil and rock logging, monitoring well construction, groundwater monitoring, and field data reporting
- Knowledge of environmental sampling and testing methods
- Understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of gINT BoreDM Boring Log Program
- Flexible computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in oral and written forms
- Safety-first mindset with customer focus and conflict resolution skills
