Overview
System One is seeking a Project Engineer with commercial mechanical construction and plumbing experience.
Responsibilities
- Support project managers with reviewing proposals, project plans, resource allocations, and timeline requirements
- Attend pre-construction, turnover, and closeout meetings to assist in project setup
- Build job cost breakdowns, schedules of values, and prepare purchase orders, submittals, and material or equipment requisitions
- Track change order requests, monitor scope revisions, and assist in securing necessary permits and licenses
- Monitor labor usage, equipment, tool inventory, and review monthly work-in-progress (WIP) documentation
- Conduct field site inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Coordinate with field superintendents and fabrication teams to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
- 0–2 years of experience in commercial mechanical construction or plumbing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
