A client is seeking a Junior or Entry Level Accountant/Auditor to join an Internal Audit team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn and grow through on-the-job training and hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing an annual audit plan using a risk?based methodology, including identifying risks and control considerations.
- Support the preparation of periodic audit updates and reports for management review.
- Participate in internal audit activities, including evaluating controls, documenting findings, and contributing to recommendations for improvement.
- Help monitor emerging trends and best practices in internal auditing to support continuous improvement within the team.
- Contribute to special audit projects in a recommendatory capacity, maintaining the independence of the internal audit function.
- Assist in tracking and following up on the implementation of corrective action plans.
- Support efforts to strengthen internal controls through education, training, and collaboration with various departments.
- Coordinate with external auditors as needed and understand the relationship between internal and external audit scopes.
Education & Certification
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Internship, entry-level, or up to mid-level experience in accounting or auditing.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
