Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to project specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Install components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, PLCs, HMIs, and other devices into control panels.
- Inspect wiring and components for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during panel assembly.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to confirm control panels meet design specifications and project requirements.
- Mentor less experienced technicians through hands-on support and best-practice guidance to build skills and ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of wiring configurations, components used, and assembly modifications.
- Adhere to all electrical safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep workstations, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or training in electrical systems or control panel wiring preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in control panel assembly, wiring, or a related field.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Solid understanding of electrical components, wiring techniques, and safety protocols.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments.
- Experience installing and wiring PLCs and HMIs is preferred
