Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Machinist to support our internal machine shop and engineering teams. This position may be full-time or part-time, and experienced retired machinists are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machine shop equipment to fabricate, modify, and repair precision parts, fixtures, and components for Fab equipment and engineering needs
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, dimensions, and tolerances
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality
- Work directly with engineers and technicians to understand requirements and develop practical machining solutions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized machine shop
- As our needs grow, support the expansion and development of a more comprehensive internal machine shop capability
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on machining experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated machining skills
- Ability to independently read engineering drawings and fabricate parts to required dimensions and tolerances
- Strong craftsmanship, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Machinist certification, apprenticeship, or technical/vocational training preferred
