Customer Service Representative

Summary The Customer Service Representative plays a key role in supporting both management and production teams to ensure the organization meets its production and delivery goals. This position serves as the primary liaison between the company and its customers, providing clear communication, accurate scheduling, and proactive coordination. The representative ensures materials, documentation, and workflow are aligned to maximize production efficiency and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties

  • Deliver timely, accurate status updates to customers regarding order progress, scheduling, and delivery timelines.

  • Serve as a communication hub between engineering, production, quality assurance, and shipping departments to ensure seamless workflow and on?time product delivery.

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor production control activities to support efficiency, quality standards, and cost?effective operations.

  • Schedule and track material movement throughout the production cycle, ensuring all required components are available when needed.

  • Optimize production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow processes to reduce delays and improve throughput.

  • Identify potential bottlenecks or scheduling conflicts and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues proactively.

  • Maintain accurate records within the ERP system and ensure all customer and production data is up to date.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with analytical tools, including spreadsheets and database management systems.

  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with Epicor ERP software preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of scheduling or production coordination experience in a related industry.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to move throughout the facility, including navigating stairs.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.

  • Ability to visually read and interpret hard?copy customer and engineering specifications.
