Responsibilities
- Equipment Monitoring: Start, stop, and monitor field equipment, read gauges and meters, and record logs.
- Plant Maintenance: Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and handle overhauls.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental and health safety rules, manage hazardous materials, and maintain plant security.
- Chemical Handling: Transfer bulk chemicals and perform chemistry testing on cooling, steam, and condensate systems.
- Shift Work: Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required to maintain continuous plant operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; technical/vocational school or military background preferred.
- Licensing: Valid state driver’s license and capability to operate heavy gear like forklifts or manlifts.
- Experience: Varies by tier (Levels I to III), ranging from entry-level to 6+ years of journey-level or senior power plant experience.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, and basic math, chemistry, and physics knowledge.
