Hours: 3rd shift – 11pm - 7am Sunday through Thursday
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all material control functions including shipping, receiving, maintaining rack storage locations, labeling, wrapping, packing finished goods and incoming raw materials.
- Work closely with the Production and Batching teams to ensure that the production line and batching tower is constantly supplied with the required raw materials.
- Comply with all Federal regulatory Hazardous Waste procedures as well as all local and state regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all DOT handling and shipping regulatory requirements for Hazardous Materials.
- Be or become certified for all industrial equipment required to operate their position- This will include sit down electric forklifts, electric reach trucks, and electric pallet trucks.
- Assist in performing physical inventories.
- Responsible for the put-away of all raw materials and finished goods, including using scanning equipment that is tied into DSI/JDE One World and labeling raw materials and finished goods.
- Responsible for package preservation which includes the shrink wrapping, banding, and staging of all finished goods.
- Serve as an effective trainer for new hires.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control, preferably in a warehouse in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating forklifts & pallet jacks is highly desired.
- Some experience with automated inventory control and scanning systems desired.
- Good communication skills along with the ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs.) on a regular and consistent basis.
