Job Title: Laundry Wash Lab Technician
Location: Trumbull, CT
Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00/hr

Overview

This entry-level, on-site role supports laundry product performance testing through hands-on wash lab activities and routine test execution. The position focuses on following established procedures, preparing test materials, operating equipment, and generating accurate data for analysis. This is a non-research role suited for candidates interested in practical laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Support laundry product performance testing for prototype evaluation and advertising claim substantiation

• Execute routine testing methodologies, including stain removal and softening tests, after training

• Follow standard operating procedures for washing, drying, staining, and test preparation

• Prepare test materials independently, including labeling fabrics and towels and preparing stains

• Operate laboratory instrumentation and automated equipment

• Coordinate with test requesters to confirm product details and testing requirements

• Ensure stains are prepared, applied, and evaluated accurately and consistently

• Generate and compile test data for review by scientists

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the wash lab

• Assist with inventory management and stocking of laboratory supplies

Qualifications

Required

• Knowledge of good laboratory practices

• Mechanical aptitude

• Basic computer proficiency

• Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred

• Prior hands-on laboratory or technical work experience
