Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

Overview
Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Sr. Research Associate II. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelors degree with 6+ years of industry experience or a Masters degree with 4+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities
• Support the Separations and Biophysical Assays team within the Analytical Sciences group in method development and routine testing for biologics such as proteins, peptides, and conjugates
• Utilize HPLC and Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) platforms for assay development, qualification, and analytical characterization
• Perform high-resolution LC-MS and other biochemical characterization techniques as required
• Document experimental results accurately in electronic lab notebooks like Benchling, and draft technical procedures and reports
• Conduct laboratory operations including safety inspections, equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and maintaining organization
• Present scientific findings at group meetings and internal forums to communicate ongoing research progress
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in biotech or pharma industry working with analytical techniques for proteins, peptides, and conjugates
• Proficiency with chromatographic methods including SEC, SCX, RP-HPLC on Agilent, Waters, or Thermo instruments
• Experience with capillary electrophoresis systems such as PA800 or BioPhase 8800, and Glycan Profiling techniques
• Strong understanding of analytical testing workflows, regulatory requirements, method qualification, and transfer
• Technical expertise in troubleshooting, method development, and in-depth analysis using LC-MS systems, including Orbitrap and QQQ platforms
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Physical ability to perform routine lab work, including lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for periods
