A leading biotechnology company advancing next-generation antibody-based therapeutics is seeking a Scientist / Associate Scientist to join their antibody engineering team. This role focuses on phage display, nanobody/antibody discovery, and bispecific engineering, supporting early-stage oncology programs. This is a highly hands-on opportunity to work on cutting-edge therapeutic platforms in a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the discovery and engineering of nanobodies and antibodies, including bispecific formats
  • Perform bio-panning of phage libraries against selected targets to identify lead candidates
  • Design, construct, and engineer antibody and nanobody constructs using molecular biology techniques
  • Execute PCR, cloning, mutagenesis, RNA isolation, and sequence analysis
  • Evaluate antibody/nanobody performance using ELISA, flow cytometry, and Octet
  • Analyze binding, function, stability, and developability of candidates
  • Support antibody library generation and screening workflows
  • Utilize molecular and some computational tools to optimize affinity and stability
  • Perform basic data analysis and interpretation of experimental results
  • Document experimental procedures and findings in lab notebooks and internal systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance discovery programs

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5+ years of experience, OR Master’s with 1–2+ years, OR recent PhD in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Direct experience with phage display / bio-panning - required
  • Strong hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (cloning, mutagenesis, sequencing, plasmid work)
  • Experience working with antibody or nanobody libraries is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with ELISA and/or flow cytometry for protein/antibody evaluation
  • Familiarity with plasmid mapping and sequence analysis tools (e.g., SnapGene)
  • Exposure to NGS is a big plus
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment
