Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
Location: Novato, CA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $28.00/hr
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Sunday-Tuesday/alternating Saturdays 6pm-7am PST

Responsibilities

• Apply process knowledge to understand equipment operation and manufacturing processes, including mammalian cell culture, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, column chromatography, centrifugation, protein purification, and formulation of bulk drug substance.
• Support initiatives for process optimization by identifying and elevating processing issues and supporting solutions.
• Gain experience with automation systems such as LIMS, MES, PI, etc.
• Provide feedback and suggested changes to operational procedures; assist in incorporating new technologies, practices, and standards into procedures.
• Write and review process documents ensuring compliance with quality systems.
• Understand cGMPs related to Commercial Operations and utilize quality systems including Deviations, CAPAs, Change Requests, Action/Alert Reports, etc.
• Participate in projects, contribute to outcomes, and support trending of department metrics.
• Perform strenuous, repetitive work involving bending, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, and making equipment connections.
• Regularly lift, dispense, push, and/or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Work around loud equipment and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Maintain flexibility to work various shifts and off hours.

• Bachelor's degree in science-related field or engineering, or Associate's degree in science/biotech certificate with 2+ years of biotech manufacturing or regulated industry experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating conflict resolution and collaboration skills.
• Proactive with good initiative to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
