Environmental Specialist on a 12 month contract position located in Calera, AL.
Environmental Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assists with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices.
Environmental Specialist Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Candidates should have one to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance.
- Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, project management skills, and the capacity to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization are necessary.
- Qualifications include familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes; experience operating power boats and watercraft; ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects; capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; effective communication abilities; and attention to detail.
