Accounts Payable Manager

Overview:
System One is partnering with a client seeking an AP Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day AP operations, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment disbursements
• Supervise and develop AP staff, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain and improve internal controls and AP processes
• Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies or payment issues
• Partner with cross-functional teams (procurement, finance, operations) to streamline workflows
• Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including leadership responsibility
• Required: SAP experience
• Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and reconciliations
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred:

• Manufacturing industry experience
• Experience with system implementations or ERP enhancements
